It seems I’m always running late for something
or other. “Just one more thing” is the mantra I
most need to dump. How about “I’ve done enough
for now” instead? “Look at everything I’ve accomplished!”
rather than “I have so much left to do!” Yesterday
a package of beeswax birthday candles arrived
in the mail, just in time for me to light one in
celebration of finding my missing wrist warmer
(hidden under a pile of mail that can wait ’til morning)
then get into bed, my computer shut off, before
it’s even gotten late.
