My subscribers are some of the most amazing, creative people I know, and as such the rest of the world should know about them. To that end, I’ve started an ongoing series, in which I periodically showcase a few of my new and longtime subscribers right here on the very pages of my blog.
So, with no further ado, I present for your viewing pleasure three more of my amazing and talented subscribers who are worth watching.
Happy weekend!
Anne Gaal – Create → Discover → Share
Thriving Artists Project member Anne Gaal is a woman after my own heart, with a multitude of creative interests. Bliss-Diverse, as I like to say!
There’s lots to discover over at her blog, Gaal Creative, where Anne blogs about art, photography, design, mixed media, stamping, card making, paper crafting, and other creative topics. Don’t miss her monthly challenges, and her color journal, where she shares the results of experiments with a variety of media.
Dana Barbieri – Artist & Designer
Another Thriving Artists Project member, Dana impressed the heck out of me not long after joining when she took on the challenge of transferring her Blogspot blog to her very own, beautiful WordPress site, with her own domain name: danabarbieri.com. (Is that not one of the most charming headers ever?)
Dana’s background is in textile and surface design, and her vibrant floral paintings always brighten my day.
Laureen Marchand – Painter & Gallery
Laureen is one of my Creative Ignition Circle members, so I get to chat with her on the phone every week. In addition to being a very talented painter (she has worked and exhibited as an artist for over 30 years), Laureen runs a successful gallery in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, at the gateway to Grasslands National Park. In the summers, when the gallery is open, Laureen paints in a studio right in the gallery. In the winter she moves to her home studio.
I’m very intrigued by her meticulous oil paintings of dried roses, with their implications of beauty, loss, and the passage of time.
Laureen recently overhauled the Grasslands Gallery website (by herself, no less!), so be sure to check it out and let her know what you think.
That wraps up today’s dispatch. Enjoy, and go get creating!
PS – Want to be included here in a future subscriber showcase? All blog subscribers are welcome to apply. If you’re not already a subscriber, you can sign up using the form at the upper right, then send me a link to your cool, creative stuff.

Yay! So glad you like it, Julie. 🙂

This is so cool! Melissa, thank you.
(I just wanted to add that while I’m responsible for Grassland Gallery and the website’s philosophy, writing, photography, general content uploading, and updates (almost daily), the lovely graphic design was by http://www.alliecreative.com, and Elaine Robitaille, the creator of beautiful jewellery shown at Grasslands Gallery, transformed Thesis Theme into the site’s structure and regularly helps guide me out of HTML disasters. Yay them!)
Yay to you too! Laureen xo

Thanks so much for the clarification, Laureen! I definitely like to see credit going where it’s due. You’re so lucky to have such great collaborators!
