I was out at dinner with my parents, talking about my brother who seemed to have his life plotted out to the minute. My mom shook her head, and my dad popped out with this gem: “The tapestry of life is rarely linear.” I’ve never forgotten that phrase, and have gone on to incorporate it into several pieces of art.
