Another flip chart sketch note of the @jordanharbinger show, this episode: Prevent Dementia and Eat Like a Genius with @maxlugavere. I ran out of room before the podcast finished—wow, so much great info in this one!
Among the notes I would have included if I’d had room: Eat a huge fatty salad every day—leafy greens (spinach, arugula) with extra virgin olive oil—and skip the chips!

Going back to basics today, practicing bikablo® style icons at flip chart size. They’re simple, but still hard to get the proportions right! Because they’re so stripped down, the slightest tilt of the head or foot can change the meaning quite a lot!
It’s very similar to when I was getting started as a calligraphy: the devil is very much in the details!
I am climbing the learning curve, continually challenged and frustrated, but that is precisely what keeps me excited and engaged in this new pursuit! 😊
Oh, and I found a grey marker! Turns out I had a #kuretakebrushpen, which is working just fine until I get my #tombowdualbrushpens and ultimately my #neulandmarkers

Another 2’ x 2’ flipchart sketchnote of the @jordanharbinger show, this one of an episode with @gabrielmizrahi.
Playing with two colors today: grey + a pastel (yellow in this case). Except that I DON’T HAVE ANY GREY MARKERS!
This is a travesty. With all the art supplies I own, NO GREY MARKERS??? Of course I’m itching to buy some from @neulandcom (the BEST—refillable, replaceable nibs, water-based ink, non-smearing outliners), but the shipping is so outrageous that I want to save up for a BIG order, so I’m getting some Tombow Dual Brush Pens in 095 Cool Grey to tide me over.
And in the meantime, for this one, I pulled out my #pastels!
We artists will do whatever we need to in order to make it work!
And hey, I’ve had those pastels for probably 20 years, and I don’t think I’ve ever used that particular grey.
