Calligraphy Art:
Perfection is overrated. Try authenticity!
Media:
Watercolor, watercolor ground, Ziller ink, pencil
Dimensions:
5 5/8″ x 5 7/8″
Creation Notes:
How much of my life have I wasted wishing I were perfect and trying to make myself so? For too long, letting go of the goal of perfection felt like a cop-out. Like “letting myself go.”
Thankfully, I know better now. It’s not my “perfection” that draws people to me. No, quite the opposite: it’s my imperfection, my authentic, flawed self.
It took me a long time to get here, but I can assure you, it’s a much better way to live. Jump on it — the water’s fine!
