There’s an easy fix anytime you’re feeling creatively blocked, though you may not like the answer.
Just start. Anywhere!
That’s Guidepost #5 from my book, The Creative Sandbox Way™, and it’s the one I turn to the most frequently when I’m feeling stuck.
If I’m working on a new workshop design. Or a keynote. Or an article. Or a painting.
Anytime you’re creating something from nothing. Or editing something, which is its own form of creating something from nothing, the key to pushing past the resistance and inertia is to simply START.
Your first efforts will probably suck, but that’s okay—they’ll grease the wheel and get you going.
Remember: we need the crap to fertilize the good stuff!
