Flip chart sketchnote practice time! Today it was @jeffgoins #PortfolioLife podcast, with guest @bakadesuyo 🖍
This is such a great way to practice my graphic recording skills (so, so hard! I am at the bottom of a long learning curve, guys! But so, so fun, too!)

AND I learn so much! When you draw what you’re hearing, you RETAIN it so much more than when you just listen or even write it. It’s so powerful!

And because I’m practicing with podcasts, I have show notes to crib from, and of course I can rewind, pause, etc, as much as I want. The goal right now is not speed—that can come later. It’s simply to GET IT DOWN.

Meanwhile, there was a big empty space in the upper left when I was done. Hmmm… what to do? So I wrote a little note. Design problem solved! 😊

I’m really enjoying coming back to art and calligraphy in this new format, where everything is about *communication* over “art”, and it’s ultimately ephemeral.
