@mytcr8tiv asked if I’d try Dr. Ph. Martin’s Copperplate Gold (Iridescent Calligraphy Colors), so that’s what I used here.

Not nearly as exciting when wet—it just looks brown—though it does get more glittery when it dries. A bit watery for my liking, but that could also be because my jar is probably (gulp!) 20 years old!!! ?

#Reposting @calligraphyhowto with @instarepost_app — Another glittery gold video, shown double speed. I actually did this one BEFORE the first one I posted (the one on black paper). Did you notice where my pen skipped, on the descender of the “y”? That was unintentional, but when you jazz up a glitch or mistake, make it look INTENTIONAL, you sometimes end up with something even more interesting than if all had gone as planned. ?

Ink: Dr. PH Martin’s Spectralite Gold. (This ink flows BEAUTIFULLY through a pointed nib! #Reposting @calligraphyhowto with @instarepost_app — Playing with Winsor & Newton Gold ink, and a Leonard EF Principal pointed nib in an oblique holder. All that glitters is actually BRONZE here — this ink is made with bronze powder. Not the easiest to write with (hard to get the consistency right), but I love the way it MOVES and DANCES when it’s wet!
