#Reposting @calligraphyhowto with @instarepost_app — Remember this every time you get downhearted about your efforts. Only 10% of what you produce will probably be any good, which means 90% will be CRAP!
We hate creating crap — I sure do, at least! I want everything to be amazing, but that isn’t how it works. And when we hold ourselves back, waiting for the good stuff, or waiting until WE’RE good enough, we end up producing NOTHING!
The key is to get comfortable with creating crap. Forgive yourself for being human, and yes, AIM for excellence (this is NOT about being sloppy), but ALLOW yourself to create crap!
It’s the crap that fertilizes the good stuff. We learn from our mistakes and our “crappy” efforts, which is what enables us to improve!
Plus remember: just because you allow yourself to create crap doesn’t mean you will. It just means YOU’LL CREATE!
Make crap daily!
And be prepared to take another look a day, week, month, or year later, and discover that it wasn’t as crappy as you thought. ?
