Doesn’t it seem like things often come in threes? That’s the case for me: I’ve got three good things going on that you might want to know about:
Thing the First: Spring Cleanout Sale Next Week!
Yes, in the spirit of “Everything Must Go” sales that stores have when they move or go out of business, I’m having a big Spring Cleanout Sale next week!
Never fear, though, I’m not going out of business. I am moving, however, and closing some courses down, and you get to benefit!
Some background:
Last year I overhauled my studio, thanks to the Great ClutterBust, and MM and I held a yard sale to clear out old stuff and make space for the new.
This year I’m doing the same thing with my website. Actually, two websites: this site, melissadinwiddie.com, which is my main site and blog, and creativeignitionclub.com, which is the membership site where my e-courses have always lived.
Why two separate sites? Because membership sites require plugins that are notorious for causing issues with other plugins, and that leads to all sorts of really nasty technical glitches. Plus membership plugins can be a big drag on site load times.
So to avoid those problems I’ve always kept my course content on creativeignitionclub.com. But that has led to other problems, namely a whole lot of confusion for people who buy something here, but then have to login somewhere else entirely to access their course materials.
Sigh…
Thankfully, this particular issue is on its way to being solved, because last month I moved this site to the Rainmaker platform, and one of the cool features of Rainmaker is that membership site functionality — and in the Pro version, a true LMS (Learning Management System) — is baked into the code. No nasty plugins necessary!
In other words, going forward, all of my courses will be able to live right here, instead of over on a separate site!
But just like moving in the physical realm, moving in the digital realm takes a lot of work. And just like moving house, this website move is a great opportunity for me to assess what to spend my time and energy moving, and what makes more sense to leave behind.
The Upshot:
Next week, I’m holding a Spring Cleanout Sale of two of my classic e-courses, Creative Ignition Kit and Playshop in a Box, before they go away for good!
They’ll be available only as a combined package, and, if you buy the bundle, you’ll also get full membership in the July 14-20 session of Creative Sandbox 101, the mini-course that has kicked over a thousand people into creative action in just one week.
So, yeah, that’s three courses, packaged up with a virtual bow, for just $50. And you’ll have access to all the materials until the end of the year. (Oh, and there will also be an option to add a one-hour 1:1 session with me for half my usual rate. Sweet!)
If you could buy these e-courses a la carte (which, for Creative Ignition Kit and Playshop in a Box, you can’t), all three together would be $111, so you can do the math.
And remember, this is the last time you’ll be able to get Creative Ignition Kit and Playshop in a Box, ever, because at the end of the year, creativeignitionclub.com is closing down forever, and those two e-courses are going away.
I’m cleaning them out to make room for new products and programs.

Thing the Second: New Art Goodies!

Yep, that’s right, I’m offering free consulting to anyone who shows up at my live “Ask Me Anything” video call on Thursday, June 4th.
