An experiment for today’s Doodlecam: a 2″x2″ mini canvas!
Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground (applied yesterday, and allowed to dry overnight), Pigma Micron 05 marker, Winsor & Newton watercolor markers.
Lessons learned: – Pigma Microns do get sucked dry by watercolor ground, as expected (though the effect seemed temporary, as I was able to get the pen to write fine on paper afterwards after a bit). – Pigma Micron pens do not make a clean line on watercolor ground. It’s a more rough-edged line that I decided to embrace. – Pigma Micron pigment bleeds on watercolor ground, when touched by water/watercolor. This creates an interesting effect I decided to embrace.
Do you detect a theme? Deciding to embrace what’s in front of you, rather than struggling against it, will result in a much happier you.
Of course, this is true of more than just art materials. Apply as you see fit. ?
This is following the Creative Sandbox Way.
