April Creative Sandbox Challenge day 10: confused. After doing 50 of these, as per @evalottchen’s advice, without the question mark, I’m not sure if they would read as “confused.” And the question is, which looks most confused? And WHY? 🖍
I’m thinking maybe the last one on the right, second up from the bottom, but what makes that one read as “confused” rather than scheming, or startled, or..?
🖍
The size of the pupils?
The size of the mouth?
The *shape* of the mouth?
🖍
Thankfully, in graphic facilitation, I always get to include words, question marks, or whatever other marks I need to communicate what I’m trying to get across. This is VISUAL COMMUNICATION, not art, folks! The goal is to communicate concepts, not impress anyone with my artistic chops (much as my ego might love to do that, too. Down, ego, down!)
🖍
Still, it would be nice to understand how to draw what I want to communicate, without using typographic symbols. #wishfulthinking .
