Sometimes my early morning studio (aka my bed) becomes my late night studio. Like today.
I made the mistake of hopping on the computer to “just do this one thing…” before my Creative Sandbox playtime this morning, and then the day took off with me.
I’m not complaining. My husband and I got a TON done. We’re about to have the kitchen demolished and new cabinets and countertops installed, then I’ll DIY a backsplash, and oh, yeah, let’s have new floors put in while we’re at it (um, yeah, entire downstairs overhaul!) so we are in massive clutter-clearing mode, on a DEADLINE! The haulers come on Monday!
And today we were Tasmanian Devils of clutterbusting!
But hey, what happened to my fifteen minutes of art-making??? Never fear! If it doesn’t happen in the morning, it can happen at night. ? Here’s the little canvas I painted tonight.
It’s just more likely that a monkey wrench won’t get thrown into the works if I do it first thing.
Tomorrow the plan is definitely to do it first thing again. ?
Now I’m off to brush my teeth and get some well-deserved sleep.
