Trying out my favorite coloring tools, Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils, on page 55 of The Creative Sandbox Way (which launches on TUESDAY!!) The color doesn’t spread as smoothly as it does on art paper, but it does work—it just gives a different effect. So as long as you don’t expect art paper results, you’ll have fun. ?
I also blotted with tissue as I went along, because the book paper is thin and highly absorbent. The more water you can blot up, the less it will buckle.
And of course—very important—put a few sheets of white paper underneath the sheet you’re working on to prevent the page underneath from getting wet!
