Ah! Such a great to dive back into abstraction! This is the bottom section from a new drawing I’m calling “Balancing Act.” It delights me to look at this! I think it may be done. Face #7 in 7 days. Learning to draw with the grid method. I could get lost doing this all day!
One week of faces. I’m enjoying learning and flexing my drawing muscles. AND it doesn’t feed the same hungers that abstraction does, so now I’m off to doodle a bit.

Another painting adopted to a good home at my open studio. 6″x6″ mixed media.
Thanks to everyone who came by to see the art (over 170 paintings!!) and chat. You made it a wonderful weekend. ?

Face #6. Pencil sketch.
With faces I feel so much more comfortable with pencil. Shading is more forgiving, and of course, there’s an eraser! I’d love the confidence to be able to dive in with a pen and make it look like the person I’m drawing, but I’m not there yet.
So I hereby grant myself permission to use pencil. ?
