The latest (ROUGH) mockup of a cover design concept for The Creative Sandbox Way, publishing on November 15th.
The title lettering has to be completely redone to fit the space, the path needs tweaking, and the subtitle speech bubble needs to be rendered by hand and probably decreased in size a bit, but I’m liking this one a lot. It was my husband’s idea to make a winding path from my doodles, and I LOVED this concept, but really struggled to make it fit with all the other elements, and black doodles on a white field just wasn’t quite working… Then I implemented my Creative Sandbox guidepost #6, “Ask “What if..?” and asked, “Hmmm… What would happen if I *inverted* that pathway to white on black..?” Shazam! That made all the difference in the world, and suddenly it held together!
