Wow, what a week it’s been, and it’s only Thursday as I type this!
Two big events happened almost back-to-back this week.
Two big events that I’ve worked my little butt off to prepare for.
First, a two-day calligraphy workshop last weekend, which was booked two years ago, and is the subject of this week’s podcast (more on that here).
And second, a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® team building retreat yesterday, for a staff office at Stanford University, which I’ve spent the past few weeks working like mad prepping.

It seems every decade or so I develop a new creative passion — er, obsession.
If you’ve been following my Instagram feed — or if you click over there now — the tipping point into obsession is glaringly obvious.
There are rows and rows of abstract doodles, then suddenly — BAM! — it’s sketchnote city!

Here’s an embarrassing fact about me: I’m a clutterbug.
This doesn’t mean I like clutter. In fact, quite the opposite — I vastly prefer being surrounded by order and spaciousness, but my whole life I’ve been better at accumulating than letting go.
There’s a lot more involved in the business of being an artist than making art, as any working artist will tell you, and it’s the behind-the-scenes stuff that often drives us crazy!
